Amtrak Trucks Collide Near Boston MBTA Commuter Rail Station, Injuring 5: Police

Five people were taken to the hospital following an incident near an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Boston this week, according to officials.

The incident involved two Amtrak track tracks colliding with each other in the vicinity of Readville Station in Hyde Park around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12, MBTA Police tell Daily Voice. 

The crash caused substantial damage to both vehicles and sent five Amtrak employees to area hospitals. All their injuries were said to be non-life-threatening, police added. 

There did not appear to be any service disruptions to Commuter Rail service. The incident remains under investigation.
